Our story

The story of Glacier Gin.

Iceland's #1 best-selling Duty Free gin, and how it began.

2018

Two friends from Reykjavík

In 2018, two friends, Fannar and Halli, set out to share their love for Icelandic nature. They wanted to capture it in a beautiful bottle and a fresh, smooth gin that reflects the purity of Iceland. They were joined early on by Rúrik Gíslason, the professional footballer.

How it's made

Tradition, with Icelandic water

Glacier Gin was designed to be the perfect gin for a gin and tonic. We use juniper, coriander seeds, lemon, bergamot and dandelion, and pure Icelandic water, one of the purest waters in the world. Its naturally high pH makes it ideal for making gin.

The name

Named for Iceland's glaciers

The name Glacier honours the beauty of Iceland's glaciers and the spirit of the country: clean, cold and untouched. Every bottle is a small piece of that landscape, made with pure Icelandic water.

The bottle

A bottle made to look like ice

Glacier Gin comes in a premium design bottle, decorated directly on the glass with no paper label. You can feel the different textures: the white is slightly rough, and the ice at the base is smooth.
